What a superb cookbook. For me, I love to cook in a crock pot and this book has just what I was searching for:+ Table of Contents - I just press the recipe I want and it takes me DIRECTLY to that recipe!
+ Serving Conversion - In my home, I always make 4 to 6 servings (most of the time four). And I was able to cut these recipes in half and place in my smaller crockpot with no problems at all!
+ Easy to follow recipes that come out perfectly!
+ Most all of the recipes I LOVE in this book!!!!
+ My favorites are: Can't Mess Up Beef Pot Roast, Fall-Off-The-Bone-Chicken, Chili Day Chili and I could go on and on and on...

Other than a few, the recipes in this cookbook require a limited amount of ingredients, some as few as four. I was visiting my daughter and her family in central Oklahoma when a severe winter storm descended on the entire country. I had time for a quick trip to a small local store where the selections were few and I had only read through this book once in curiosity. The storm lasted for days and we were confined for days by snow and ice. I was able to prepare some wonderfully delicious meals. Thank you so much!

Many meals that can be made in the slow cooker. I did not find very healthy ones for our new lifestyle, even with substitutions.

I am definitely "crock pot crazy"!! I have a HUGE collection of crock pot recipes, but I just couldn't resist collecting more. So glad I didn't pass this one up!! It has so many great recipes that are so simple and downright delicious looking. Looking forward to trying the "knee slapping"ribs! Get this cookbook, you'll be glad you did!
Wonderful cook book. Lot's of tasty slow cooker recipes. They look delicious and easy to prepare. The book is formatted well also. The recipes are separated and don't run together, with links to each recipe from the Contents page. Highly recommended.
Working from home, painting and writing, it's easy to get lost in time - which happens often and my diet suffers. The slow cooking recipes here are great for me because they're very easy to do for a single guy)and I can be eaten at the variable times that suit me. The most interesting one is the one with Coca Cola and still only 93 calories. It would have been a 5 start rating if there were pictures. However, in reality, instructions are simple and ample enough for slow pot cooking anyway.
I have a number of books on slow cooking but so many of them call for canned soup and or canned veggies. I don't cook this way. My slow cooker hasn't had much of a work out even though there are many days I am gone all day and it would help a lot. I will start using it more.
Crock Pot Crazy must be contagious because this author has just handed off the slow cooker "bug" to me. I haven't seen a crock pot cookbook that convinced me before (and I have purchased quite a few). But a slow cooker Black Forest cake? And that Rice Pudding with cranberries sounds delish! And the thought of oatmeal with cranberries and figs (wonder how dates would work) slow cooking while I'm sleeping, waiting breakfast for me...mmmmm. I'm sold. Some terrific recipes in here. If you love one-pot meals doing their thing while you're doing something else...well, it's like comin' home to Mamma having done the cookin'!
